Nuthatch at Bradley Woods and my first summer visitor.

Article text
Yesterday and today I have had two short sessions at my local woodland on the edge of Grimsby. There is an informal feeding station here and there is a small population of resident nuthatches. I was successful in getting shots of common birds: chaffinch, blue tit and great tit. I was really pleased with the coal tit shot as they come less frequebtly and are very fast. Likewise the nuthatches and although I did get pictures they were not as sharp as I would have liked - back to the drawing board.

This afternoon we went for a family walk in the Lincolnshire Wolds and I was delighted to hear my first summer visitor - a chiffchaff.
