Titchwell

On this beautiful Satuday in early July we enjoyed a fabulous day on the north Norfolk coast meeting up with Heather's brother and wife to celebrate our joint birthdays which all come at the same time of year. Just before we left we had a walk down to the sea at Titchwell RSPB reserve and a few minutes in the one remaining hide during maintenance work on the reserve. I was delighted to see superb summer plumage ruff, spotted redshank and black-tailed godwits. We were lucky enough as well to glimpse a bearded tit. THE bird though was the buff breasted sandpiper which was around and which gave great views.
