Visit to Bempton Cliffs RSPB Reserve

Article text
I had arranged to meet a friend, Richard Tadman who I had met at a Wild Shots photographic holiday in Scotland in February. The day dawned fine and warm if a little breezy. I made good time to Bempton from Grimsby and when I arrived Richard was busily setting up with his new canon 500 lens. I hope to have one before too long but our man in Hong Kong hasn't come up with the goods yet - a long story. We were soon off to the cliff top and had a splendid day's photography. All the usual species were there including a few bridled guillemots. We saw surprisingly few puffins however. It was satisfying to see that many birds were feeding well grown chicks.
